Matthew Miller

Obituary of Matthew Robert Miller

Matthew (Matt) Robert Miller, May 9, 1994-May 3, 2021, 26, was a beloved son, brother, uncle, boyfriend, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, and fur-daddy. These are just a few of the titles Matt held in this life. He was kind, smart, handsome, funny, and strong. Matt is preceded in death by his grandparents Eleanor and Henry Miller. Matt loved spending time with family, friends, and his girlfriend, Bailey. Riding his motorcycle with his Dad, his brother-in-law, and his friends brought Matt true joy. He was happiest outdoors—being at the lake, fishing, kayaking, camping, and hiking. He loved his dog, Memphis, and Memphis loved him. Matt’s social media chronicles their adventures. Matt was a friend to many, more than we can count! He was the life of every party, funny and witty. We could count on Matt to ham it up with his mom’s photobooth props at every family function, flashing that contagious, mischievous smile that just lit up the room. He was funny and could make you laugh even if you were trying not to. Matt had a passion for music and always brought the best music with him. Matt began his career at Garrow Utility Contracting, Inc. in 2015 and loved to use the machinery. Since then, he became not only a trusted and valued employee, but also a part of the family. Matthew is survived by his mother, Anjie Vickers, and his father, Charles Miller. He is also survived by Greg Vickers (stepfather), Amanda (sister) and David Talley, Nathaniel Vickers (brother), and Michael and Amy Reigel (grandparents). His niece, Taylor, and nephew, Easton, thought the world of him and loved to go camping with Uncle Matt. He is loved by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. “Sisters and brothers are the truest, purest forms of love, family, and friendship, knowing when to hold you and when to challenge you, but always being a part of you.” ~Carol Ann Albright Eastman A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held, 3pm Saturday, May 8 at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant with Rev. John Cashwell officiating. The Miller family will receive friends from 1-3 prior to the service.
