Obituary of Darren O'Neil Smith

Darren O’Neil Smith, 52, of Concord passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021 at his home. Funeral services will be held 4pm Thursday February 4, 2021 at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends from 1-4 prior to the service. Burial will follow on Monday February 8 at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Darren was born in Cabarrus County, October 25, 1968 to James A. Smith and the late Cornelia Burris McCorkle. He worked as a mechanic for various trucking companies as well as L&L Core Supply. He also enjoyed tinkering with cars and dancing. He is survived by a sister, Taska Kluttz; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
