William L. “Bobo” Allmon, Jr., 88, of Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, Oct. 8, at his residence.
Funeral service will be 2pm Friday, Oct. 12 at Gordon Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Jeremy Hyde. Burial will follow at Mission Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to the service.
Mr. Allmon was born January 14, 1930 in Cabarrus County, son of the late William Lewis Allman, Sr. and Annie Isabelle Fletcher Allman. He was a member of Mission Baptist Church. He was a long time member of the Mt. Pleasant Lions Club, receiving the Jack Stickley Fellowship and Melvin Jones Fellowship awards, and a former volunteer with the Mt. Pleasant Fire Department. He was a retired warehouse manage for Rogers Builders. Mr. Allmon served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Frances Rinehardt Allmon and a sister Aileen A. Auten.
He is survived by a daughter, Carol A. Smith and husband, Houston.
