A celebration of his life will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, in the chapel of Gordon Funeral Home, 8559 Cook Street, Mt. Pleasant. The Danforth family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m.

In recent years, he especially enjoyed spending time with his great-grandchildren.
