William Ricky Bowman

William Ricky Bowman, 67, passed away on March 10, 2025, in Concord, North Carolina.

Visitation will be held on Thursday,  March 13, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant, located at 8559 Cook St, Mount Pleasant, NC 28124, officiated by Rev. Chuck Hensley and Rev. Faye McRorie. Burial will follow at Friendship Methodist Church Cemetery.

Ricky was known for his warm spirit and love for others. He cherished his family and friends, taking delight in the simple joys of life. An avid bowler, he could often be found on the lanes enjoying friendly competition. He also had a passion for fishing and enthusiasm for attending all sports events at Mount Pleasant Schools, always cheering on the athletes. Ricky was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and a member of Friendship Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Larry Burris, grandparents Ed and Mildred Morgan Beaver and Arthur and Dennie Black Bowman. 

Ricky is survived by his devoted mother, Norma Beaver Burris, and his sister, Jatana Hendrick (Mark). His beloved nephews, Christopher White (Katherine) and their son Cameron and their daughter, Adyson White, and Jason White (friend Angelica Gilbert); his aunt and uncle, Phyllis Freeman and Dennis Beaver (Patti). 

Ricky’s memory will live on through the lives he touched, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s or the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Concord.
