Timothy "Tim" Lane Cauble, 65, of Mt. Pleasant died at his home Monday, Oct. 17, 2016.
A celebration of Tim’s life will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with the service led by his son, the Rev. Travis Cauble, the Rev. Beau Linker and the Rev. Clinton Efird. Burial will follow in the cemetery of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, where he was a life-long member. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gordon Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.
Tim was born on Aug. 15, 1951, in Cabarrus County, one of six sons of J.W. Cauble and Marie Furr Cauble. A 1969 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, Tim enjoyed a career as a service technician for Xerox Corporation. He was predeceased by a brother, John Cauble.
Tim had a life-long love of music and was a talented drummer, he was a member of the Centuars Band, where he was also a vocalist. When not behind a drum set, Tim coached Little League baseball, Pop Warner football and played church league softball. He also served as third-base coach for the First Assembly softball team.
Tim is survived by his wife, Natalie Reid Cauble of the home; two sons, Travis Cauble and Jeremy Cauble (Tracey) of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Anna Cauble of the home; six grandchildren, Laney, Kaylee, Rylan, Aria, Presley and McKenzi Cauble; four brothers, Jerry Cauble (Brenda), Sam Cauble (Gail), Dolan Cauble (Sandra), and Terry Cauble (Robyn); and sister-in-law, Jeanne Cauble.
