Shirley Maginnis Warner

We are sad to announce the passing of Shirley Maginnis Warner (Nanny).

Born the daughter of Hugh Edward Maginnis and Anne Kroeker Maginnis of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Shirley was born in Vancouver, BC Canada, July 12, 1936, She passed away peacefully in her sleep February 6, 2024, at age 87.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Francis Marion Warner; brother Hughie Maginnis; sister Joan Maginnis Goodpasture and grandson Steven Noah Warner

After raising her family in Montgomery County, Shirley loved living in Concord and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and cats. She enjoyed transforming her yard into a place of beauty, with flowers of many colorful varieties. Shirley was a talented seamstress, who loved all types of needlework. She relished her time antiquing, and refinishing her treasures. Shirley was proud to become a US Citizen. 

Shirley is survived by her son Steven Douglas Warner (Jean), daughters Janet Warner Andrews (Andy) and Connie Warner Kent (Chris), all of Concord and sister Doreen Maginnis Francis of BC Canada. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jerehmy Warner, Nick Warner, Lindsey Henderson, Alex Andrews, Annie Andrews Kamp; great grandchildren Alyssa Warner Sorrell, Jacob Warner, Maggie Warner and Miles Warner, Kylie Boger and Traton Boger; great great grandchildren Cameron Mayhew, Makenzie Mayhew and Easton Mayhew.

A private memorial service will be held to honor her.
