Roland Calloway Burden, Jr.

Roland Calloway Burden, Jr., passed away on November 22, 2024, in Huntersville, North Carolina. Born on January 12, 1973, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Roland led a life marked by dedication to his profession, a passion for automotive work, and a profound love for his family.

A 1992 graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School, Roland's work ethic was evident early on, cultivating an impressive skill set in HVAC that served him and his community well. Known as a "fix-it-man" and a perfectionist, he could often be found in his workshop, honing his craft or engaging in conversations that underscored his charismatic gift of gab.

Roland took great pride in his role as a brother, uncle, and grandfather. He is survived by his sister, Beverly Patterson (Dennis); his brothers, Jerry Burden (Traci) and Stephen Burden (April); and his beloved grandchildren, Kenley, Julia, and Harrison Hash and a number of nieces and nephews. The loss of Roland is felt deeply by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Martha Fuller Burden, his father, Roland C. Burden, Sr., his wife Jennifer H. Burden and his daughter, Lauren Burden. Roland’s spirit, characterized by his faith and commitment to his loved ones, will be remembered fondly by his family and friends.

Services to honor Roland Calloway Burden, Jr. will be held on December 8, 2024. Visitation will start at 1:00 PM, followed by the memorial service at 2:00 PM, both taking place at Cold Spring Global Methodist Church, located at 2550 Cold Springs Rd, Concord, NC, 28025.
