Ralph Lee Ritchie, Jr.

Ralph Ritchie Jr, of Concord died Thursday, March 30 at Tucker Hospice House. Funeral services for Mr. Ritchie will be Saturday, April 1 at 2:00 at St. John's Lutheran Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. Mark Ericson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Friday, March 31 at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Ritchie was born October 5, 1928 to the late Ralph Ritchie, Sr. and Lala Hampton Ritchie. He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1948. Mr. Ritchie served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War. In 1958 he was married to Amelia Rebecca Walker. He was a faithful lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Concord. Mr. Ritchie was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Bernice Ferguson, Leonard Ritchie, Banks Ritchie, Doris Tarlton and Lorene Fortune. Mr. Ritchie is survived by his wife, Amelia Walker Ritchie; daughter, Carol Marie Ritchie Hinson; son, Bruce Lee Ritchie and his wife Melba; 5 grandchildren, Blake Hinson and his wife, Melissa, Brooke Hinson, Preston Ritchie and his fiancée, Kelsie Myers, Austin Ritchie and Jonathan Ritchie.
