Nancy Sue Barbee King

Nancy Sue Barbee King, 79, of Concord, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

Funeral service will be 3:00pm Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Pine Grove Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Ray Rivenbark and Rev. Steven Hicks. Burial will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The King family will begin receiving friends at 2:00pm prior to the service at the church.  

Mrs. King was born June 13, 1940 in Stanly County, daughter of the late Bruce Edward Barbee and Melvin Louise Lee Barbee. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She worked many years at Tender Loving Center, Inc. (a day care center for children) with her sister Dorothy Furr. She enjoyed baking and gardening. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy B. Furr and Nancy Louise Barbee; and brothers, Edward Grant Barbee and Max Gordon Barbee.

She is survived by her husband Larry King, daughters, Juanita King Porter (Kent) and Angie King Aycoth (Jimmy); grandchildren, Lucas and Hannah Porter and Shannan Aycoth Williams.
