Murlee Austin Shore

Murlee Shore Austin Shore, 93 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday, November 12, at her residence. A celebration of Murlee's life will begin at 2:00pm Thursday, Nov. 17, at First Baptist Church Mt. Pleasant, officiated by Rev. Josh White, burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00pm prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Shore was born October 22, 1923 in Boone, NC, daughter of the late Thomas Shore and Edell Green Shore. Until her declining health she was an active member of First Baptist Church Mt. Pleasant. She enjoyed needle work, sewing, cooking, and was a great care giver for her late husband's, Max Thomas Austin and Walter Ray Shore. She was also preceded in death by a son Daniel "Danny" Thomas Austin and a brother, Burlon Shore. She is survived by granddaughters; Kristi White and Belinda Settle of Mt. Pleasant; grandson Austin Settle; sister in law Betsy Shore and step son Mike Shore. Memorials may be directed to Susan G.
