Maye Eury Tomkinson

Maye Eury Tomkinson, 85, of Mt. Pleasant passed away January 29, 2025.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Saturday February 1, at Oak Grove Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Beau Linker. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Tomkinson family will receive friends from 12-1 prior to the service.

Maye was born in Cabarrus County, June 17, 1939 to the late Curtis and Laura Hatley Eury. She was a long time member of Oak Grove, where she was involved with the Methodist Women and countless church Brunswick stew and chicken noodle suppers. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband James. She also enjoyed working in her garden and flowerbeds. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her siblings; brothers Joe Eury, Leroy Eury and Marvin Eury; sisters Dot Kiker, Faye Hurlocker and Edith Smith.

She is survived by sons Devon Tomkinson (Jeannie) and David Tomkinson (Marcia); grandchildren, Courtney, Matthew and Joshua.
