Mary Kendall

Mrs. Mary Smith Kendall, 80 of Hwy 49, Mt. Pleasant died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at her residence. Memorial service will be 4:00pm Friday at Gordon Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Harold Holstie, burial will follow at Bethel (Bear Creek) United Church of Christ Cemetery. The Kendall family will receive friends from 2-4pm prior to the memorial service on Friday. Mrs. Kendall was born April 8, 1930 in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late Will Smith and Elizabeth Cline Smith. She retired from Cabarrus Memorial Hospital after a long career as a medical technician. She was a member of Bethel (Bear Creek) United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Kendall. She is survived by two sons, Lane Kendall and wife Judy, and Jack Kendall and wife Vanessa both of Mt. Pleasant, brother, George Smith of Concord, sister, Rachel Christy of Concord, grandchildren, Sarah Kendall, Jason Kendall and wife Heather of Concord and Matthew Kendall and wife Amber of Cary, great grandchildren Carson and Jonas.
