Linda Cartner

Linda Lee Briggs Cartner, 69, of Mt. Pleasant, NC, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at home. She was born on March 28, 1944, in Wilmington, DE, to the late Joseph and Eva Lee Briggs. Linda is survived by her devoted and caring husband of 45 years, Bruce Cartner. Linda will always be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tracy Cartner of Mt. Pleasant; son, Joseph Cartner and his wife, Beth of Concord; son, Joshua Cartner and his wife, Tiffany of Concord, and Kim Cartner of Mt. Pleasant. Linda was an affectionate and encouraging grandmother to six grandchildren; Morgan Cartner Henriquez of Anchorage, Alaska, Jake Cartner of Mt. Pleasant, Clayton Cartner, Brianna Cartner, Josh Cartner, and Nicholas Cartner of Concord. She was greatly anticipating her first great-grandchild's arrival this coming February. She leaves to cherish her memory, siblings Robert Briggs of Wilmington, DE, and John Briggs of Waldorf, MD. A service celebrating her life will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, November 3, 2013, at Judah Worship Center, 681 Sunderland Road SW, Concord, NC, officiated by Rev. Eric Burris. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Judah Worship Center.
