Mr. Lee Roy Page, 89 of Page St., Mt. Pleasant, passed away, Sunday, September 21, 2014 at his residence. Funeral service will be 7:00pm Tuesday, at Central Baptist Church, Kannapolis, officiated by Rev. Curtis Parker and Rev. Dean Hunter, burial will be 11:00am Wednesday at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. The Page family will receive friends from 5-7pm Tuesday at Central Baptist Church prior to the funeral service. Mr. Page was born August 13, 1925 in Cabarrus County son of the late Eli Page and Effie Jane Herrin Page. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He served in the US Army during WWII, he received the Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Star, Purple Heart and was wounded in action December 26, 1944 in the Battle of the Budge, Belgium. He enjoyed fishing, his church and especially his family. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Loretta Becher, brothers, Richard, Wade, Paul, Cotton, Ernest and an infant. He is survived by his wife Ann Eudy Page, daughter, Darlene Roberts and husband Carey of Concord, granddaughters, Nicole Onofre and husband Benny of Lillington and Brittany Monroe and husband Demetrius of Charlotte, great grandchildren, Alex and Christian Cedillos. Memorials may be directed to Central Baptist Church, 1812 Moose Rd., Kannapolis, NC 28081 or Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28083
