Larry Wayne Furr

Larry "Joker" Wayne Furr, 77 of Concord, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017. Larry was born Feb. 18, 1939 in Stanly County son of the late James W. Furr and Essie Almond Furr. He was retired from Concrete Supply and was a US Air Force veteran. He attended Mission Baptist Church. He enjoyed his cars and taking care of them, he also liked spending time watching NASCAR and Drag Racing. He is survived by a sister Margie F. Burris, nephews, Bryan Burris, Dean Burris and Kevin Burris(Sharon); niece Susan DeBerry(Lynn) and three grand nephews. A reception of friends will be from 2-4pm Saturday, Feb. 18 at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant, 8559 Cook St., Mt. Pleasant. In lieu of flowers memorials should be directed to the VFW, PO Box 1254, Concord, NC 28026 or the DAV, 2400 Rock Hill Church Rd, Concord, NC 28027
