Kenneth Earl Rowland

Mr. Kenneth Earl Rowland, 77 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away, Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Tucker Hospice House. Funeral service will be 11:00am Saturday at Gordon Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Mike Rinehardt, burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rowland family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday at Gordon Funeral Home. Mr. Rowland was born December 27, 1937 in Cabarrus County son of the late James L. Rowland and Myrtle Cress Rowland. He was retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing and also had been a little league baseball coach and was a US Navy Veteran. He is survived by sons Michael Rowland of Concord, Greg Rowland and wife Hannah of Mt. Pleasant, daughter Shelia Rowland, Concord, sister Patty Young of Salisbury, five grand children and one great grandchild.
