Julia Sifford

Mrs. Julia Gretchen Furr Sifford, 73, of Merle Rd., Concord, NC, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at CMC- Northeast. Funeral service will be 6:30pm Saturday evening at Gordon Funeral Home the family will receive friends from 5-6:30pm prior the funeral service. Committal service will be 1:00pm Sunday at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery. Mrs. Sifford was born August 25, 1938 in Chatham County daughter of the late Herman W. Furr and Irene Campbell Furr. She was a graduate of Mooresville High School. She was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church and also attended Bethel (Bear) Creek United Church of Christ. She enjoyed crafts, passing time with friends and genealogy. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter L. "Hap" Sifford who died 7/24/2004. She is survived by a son William Sifford, daughters Lisa Edwards and husband Phillip and Cathy Styles and husband Steve all of Concord, brother, Alan W. Furr and wife Diane of China Grove, sister Margaret Ann Furr Crowley and husband Charles of Huntersville, one step grand son, Bradley Edwards, and her pet cat ZOEY.
