Joyce Mullis Hill

Joyce Mullis Hill, 85, of Gold Hill passed away Monday October 29, 2018 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Funeral services will be Friday November 2 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, with Rev. Dr. Mark Ericson officiating. The Hill family will begin to receive friends at 9:00AM; services will start at 10:30AM.  Burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens.

Joyce was born in Cabarrus County, August 27, 1933 to the late Brandon L. Mullis and Ollie Mullis Frick. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran for many years and was a former member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran. After retiring from Allstate Insurance she enjoyed traveling to numerous places of which her favorites include the beach and the mountains for the waves and the leaves. In addition to her parents Joyce was predeceased by twin brothers, Charles Michel Mullis and Robert Steven Mullis.

Joyce is survived by her husband Carl J. Hill of Albemarle; daughters Debbie H. Lambert and Teresa Starr Hill of Gold Hill; brothers Larry Mullis of High Point, David Mullis of New London, Don Mullis of Charleston SC and John Mullis of Locust; sister Brenda Miller of Mt. Pleasant; six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Joyce’s’ honor can be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 100 St. John’s Church Rd., Concord NC 28025.
