Joyce Gibson Furr

Joyce Lee Gibson Furr, 88, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Tucker Hospice House.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Saturday, April 14 at Gordon Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Gary Morris. Burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00pm Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.

Mrs. Furr was born June 8, 1929 in Guilford County, daughter of the late William A. Gibson and Catherine Pearl Moore Gibson. She enjoyed camping, going to the beach and spending time with her family. In her spare time, she played word search games. She was preceded in death by her husband Lee Roy Furr and a son in law Tony Ledbetter.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Harkey (Jerry) of Locust, Nancy Morris (Sam) Concord, and Debbie Ledbetter of Concord and a son Jeff Furr of Mt. Pleasant; eight grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
