Joseph Coble

Mr. Joseph Alexander Coble, 64 of Birnamwood Dr., Concord, died Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at his residence. Funeral service will be 3:00pm Friday, August 19, 2011 at Young Memorial Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Travis Boovy and Rev. Ron Bushey, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Coble was born April 27, 1947 in Cabarrus County son of the late J.J. Coble and Georgia Menius Coble. He was a retired carpenter with Hopkins and Hopkins Construction Company. Mr. Coble enjoyed traveling with special friends and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Coble was a master carpenter and enjoyed doing many woodworking projects, especially at his church. He was preceded in death by his wife Janice Gibson Coble, brothers John Coble and Paul Coble. He is survived by a son Michael Coble, daughters, Alisha Aycoth and husband David, and Tara Furr and husband Keith all of Mt. Pleasant, brother, J. W. Coble of Concord, sisters, Mary Jansen and Alice Voorheis both of Concord, Daisy Eudy of Locust, and Annie McBride of Kannapolis, grandchildren, Madison and Austin Aycoth, Fisher and Carson Furr, Nicholas Coble.
