John Wayne Strube

John Wayne Strube, 61, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Memorial service in celebration of his life will be held, 3pm Sunday July 16, 2023 at Community Church of Mt. Pleasant, 400 N. Main St., Mt. Pleasant NC 28124, officiated by Pastor Jason Shive. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:45pm at the church prior to the service.

Johnny was born April 20, 1962 in Cabarrus County. He was a graduate of Central Cabarrus High School. Cars were a passion of Johnny’s, he made a career of auto parts sales and also spent countless hours working to restore classic cars that he owned. He was known by many titles throughout his life, but his favorite was Granddaddy. Johnny was preceded in death by his wife Pamela Cundiff Strube in May of 2023.

He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Linda Sue Strube; daughter Melissa Lemmond and Husband Jeff; grandchildren Jaden, Jacey and Jaxon Lemmond; sister Sylvia Strube; niece Stephanie Campbell; and great niece Rylee Campbell.
