Joan Harwood Bangle

Mrs. Joan Harwood Bangle, 80 of Millingport Rd. Albemarle, passed away Thursday, March 19, at her residence. Services will be 12:00noon Wednesday, March 25, at Salem United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Jacqueline Tookey, burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Bangle family will receive friends from 11-12pm prior to the service. Mrs. Bangle was born May 21, 1934 in Stanly County, daughter of the late Paul Alexander Harwood and Eunice Hahn Harwood. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, where she served as Treasurer for her Sunday School class (Compassionate Friends Class). She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ray Bangle, son Ray Bangle, Jr. and wife Teresa, daughters, Judy Yandle and Sherry Hutchins, grandchildren, Rachel and John Bangle, Jennifer Sloan and husband Eric, Jonathan and Garrett Hutchins, great grandchildren, Erika and Jacob Sloan.
