Jimmy Lewis Tatum

Jimmy Lewis Tatum, 46, of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, January 31 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte after a brief illness.

Memorial service to celebrate Jimmy’s life will be held 11 AM Friday, February 8, at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.

Jimmy was born August of 1972 in Cumberland County to the late Rev. James Lewis Tatum and Donna Shewbert Tatum. He was a 1991 graduate of South View High School in Hope Mills.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Sara Guyette Tatum; brother Kenneth Lewis Tatum (Deana); sister Karen Maria Hopkins (James); twin sister Jodi Tatum Perez (Roland Dominic); mother in law Connie Guyette; brother in laws, Matt Guyette (Crystal) and Scott Guyette (Katie); and many nieces and nephews.

His Journey’s Just Begun

Don’t think of him as gone away his journey’s just begun, life holds so many facets this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched…for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much.
