Jettie Mae Andrews Rinehardt, 91, of Mt. Pleasant, died peacefully at her home on September 21, 2010, after several weeks of declining health. A celebration of Mrs. Rinehardt's life will begin at 3:00pm on Friday, September 24, 2010, Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity in Mt. Pleasant officiated by Rev. John Boyd. Burial will follow in the church cemetery on Walnut St. Visitation will be from 1-2:45pm Friday prior to the service at Gordon Funeral Home, 8559 Cook St., Mt. Pleasant. She was born on February 12, 1919, in Albemarle and was the daughter of the late Julius F. and Julia M. Andrews. Mrs. Rinehardt moved to Mt. Pleasant at the age of 16 when she married the late Zeb V Rinehardt, to whom she was married for 59 years. They raised three children and attended Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity. She loved to provide food, water and birdhouses to all nature had to offer. She was a wonderful cook and would provide her special fried chicken and ham biscuits whenever asked by her church. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Ann R. Scott and grandson, Brent Rinehardt, and siblings Jasper and Vernon Andrews, James Miller and Mable Wilhoit. Survivors include a son, Bobby Rinehardt and wife Betty of Mt. Pleasant and daughter, Linda Cobb and husband George of Concord. She is also survived by four grandchildren Steve Cobb of Cherryville, NC, Bobby Rinehardt and Beth Hawk of Concord and Scotty Scott of Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Rinehardt lived to see four more generations added to her life with the addition of seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. The family of Mrs. Rinehardt wishes to give their sincere thanks to the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County for their caring guidance and support during their mother's illness. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, PO Box 595, Mt. Pleasant, NC or Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC.
