Jesse Stephen Tucker

Jesse Stephen Tucker, 38 of Kannapolis, passed away Friday, June 23 at CHS-Northeast after a brief illness.

Funeral service will be 11:00am Wednesday, June 28, at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.  Burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Tuesday at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.

Jesse was born May 17, 1979 in Mecklenburg county, son of Jerry Tucker, Jr.  and Suzanna Mullins Russell

He was a news director for WSOC TV where he had worked for 16 years and was nominated for two Emmy awards. He was the drummer, producer and songwriter for his band Prophets & Poets. He enjoyed working on his Knight Rider KITT Car and was a loving father to his fuzzy pets, especially Anakin Tiberius Tucker. He was preceded in death by a sister Savannah Rose-Marie Tucker.

He is survived by his wife Brandi Nicloe Tucker; father Jerry Tucker; mother Suzanna Mullins Russell; step mother Anji Tucker; sister Jennifer Lauralie Tucker, paternal grandparents, Jerry and Rose Tucker; maternal grandparents, Fredrick and Dayle Mullins and Sam and Barbara Colerider; mother and father in law, Cherry and Bob Snipes.  Brothers in heart Darren Shinn, Jamie "Muzz" Jones and Adrian Gallegos.
