Janie Frances Hough

Janie "Dan" Hathcock Hough, 90 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at the Mt. Pleasant House.

Funeral service will be 12:30pm Saturday, July 8, at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant officiated by Rev. Robert Howard. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 prior to the service.

Mrs. Hough was born May 12, 1927 in Cabarrus County daughter of the late William S. Hathcock and Fronie Bell Green Hathcock. She was a member of Miami Baptist Church, where she was an active member until her declining health. She was retired from Tuscarora Yarns. Dan loved to read, enjoyed cooking and gardening.  She was preceded in death by her husband Worth Hough; son Reggie Hough; and daughter, Gwen Ennis; brother, Donald Hathcock; sisters, Garry Hurlocker, Pauline (Kay) Allman, Margaret Tucker and Willie Mae Burris.

She loved her family and is survived by daughters, Rhonda Allman (Danny Jo) and Kelly Cain (Mark); son Brian Hough; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
