Janice Louise Black, 72 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Monday, September 16 at the Brian Center.

Graveside service will be 2:00pm Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the First Baptist Church Cemetery, Lee Street, Mt. Pleasant, officiated by Rev. Nathan Brooks. Those who would like to pay their respects to Janice, can stop by Gordon Funeral Home from 9-12noon Wednesday.

Janice was born November 22, 1946 in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late Homer David Black and Martha Measimer Black. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Paula Ann Black and brother, Lewis C. Black.

She is survived by two brothers, Bobby Black (Linda Sue) of Rockwell, and Fred Black (Irene) of Mt. Pleasant; three nephews and one niece.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Brian Center for their special care for Janice for the past fourteen years and also Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County.

In Lieu of flowers memorials should be directed to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
