Jamie Dean Haigler

Jamie Dean Haigler, 45, of Mt. Pleasant died at his home Sunday, June 19, 2016. Jamie’s family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, June 23, Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. A service will follow 3 p.m at Coyle Baptist Church, 12168 Coyle Road, Stanfield, NC, 28163, with the Rev. David Sanders and the Rev. Joel Ervin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A Cabarrus County native, Jamie was born Feb. 1, 1971, to Kathleen D. Burris Clayton and the late George W. Haigler. An employee of the Cabarrus County Schools, he was a custodian at Hickory Ridge High School, having joined the staff when the school opened in 2007. In his leisure time, Jamie enjoyed fishing, riding horses, playing horseshoes, cooking and spending time with his granddaughters. He was predeceased by his wife, Sabrina Stenneson Haigler. Survivors include his mother, Kathleen B. Clayton of Mt. Pleasant;; a daughter, Samantha Ervin, her husband, Justin, and their daughters Milley and Ally of Kannapolis; a son, Tyler Haigler of Mt. Pleasant, two brothers, Jimmy Haigler and Jackie Haigler of Mt. Pleasant and a step-daughter, Lily Lefler of Mt. Pleasant.
