James Michael Stamper

James Michael Stamper, 61, of Henderson NC passed away June 13th at Rex Hospital. Memorial service will be held Wednesday June 15th at 11AM at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11AM. Committal service will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens. He was born May 17th 1955 in Wilkes County to the late Wade M. Stamper and Vernie Stamper. During his life, Mike enjoyed traveling to different golf courses each year with his sons, cooking breakfast for his family, and reading his daily devotionals. But most importantly, Mike was a loving father and a man who loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by three sons, Greg Stamper and wife Brandy of Mt. Pleasant, Houston Stamper and wife Emilee of Mt. Pleasant and Austin Stamper of La Grange GA; stepson, Philip Drye and wife Heather of Concord; stepdaughter Alex Hutchison of La Grange GA; six sisters, Hazel Fisher, Helen Scercy, Jackie Honeycutt, Terry Stamper, Derita Sims and Nancy Carter; two brothers Junior Stamper and Mack Stamper; three Grandchildren Pearl Stamper, Briggs Stamper and Dane Stamper.
