James Darrell Creed of Mt Pleasant, passed away Thursday, February 20 at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Funeral services will be held Sunday February 23, 2:00pm at Cold Springs United Methodist Church, where Darrell was a member and loved his church family so much. Rev. Dr. Tony Bell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2-4 Saturday February 22, at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.
Mr. Creed was born July 5, 1949 in Cabarrus County to the late James and Marie Wood Creed. Darrell served his country in the U.S. Army from 1969-1971. Darrell worked and retired from Freightliner Corporation in Mt Holly, NC after 29 years of service in 2008 as a Lab Technician. He was loved by his co-workers just as he was by everyone who knew him.
Darrell is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jane Almond Creed; daughters, Shanna Honeycutt and Leslie Creed, both of Mt Pleasant; four granddaughters, Carlie Russell (Devin) of New London, Kember Honeycutt and Cloie Burris of Mt Pleasant and Aimee Honeycutt of Salisbury; one grandson, Jackson Burris of Mt Pleasant.
