Jackson Sneed

Jackson Alexander " Jack" Sneed, 55, of Mt. Pleasant, went to be with his heavenly father, Sunday, June 8, 2014 at his residence. Funeral service will be 3:00pm Wednesday, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Bruce Gwyn and Rev. Clinton Efird; burial will follow at Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-3pm Wednesday at the church prior to the service. Jack was born December 27, 1958 in Cabarrus County, son of Marjorie Cook Sneed and the late Earl Lee Sneed. He attended Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. Jack was a 1977 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. He was the owner-operator of Air Flow Systems, and taught HVAC at Mooresville Grade School (NF Woods). To be able to spend more time with his sons, in 2006 he joined the Mt. Pleasant Fire Department, where he worked hard to receive the accreditations required to serve. Jack was recently named as a captain within the fire department. He loved spending time with his granddaughter, fishing, especially carp fishing, hunting, and hobby farming. He was a loving caring husband, father and Papaw, he also was known as one to lend a helping hand to anyone in need of his many talents. Jack is survived by his mother, Marjorie Cook Sneed, wife of thirty years, Susanna Feezor Sneed, sons, Dustin Sneed and his wife Natalie, Tyler Sneed and friend Alicia Gray, daughter, Lauren Shue and her husband Richard and their daughter Emillee Shue, brothers, Ronnie Sneed and wife Jo Ann, and Gene Sneed, sister, Libby Hoke and her husband Jerry.
