Ivey Dean Icenhour, 70, of Mt. Pleasant, left this earth and received his perfect heavenly body on Saturday, October 17.
The funeral service will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, at New Hope Freewill Baptist Church and will be officiated by Rev. Roger Bostic and Donnie Icenhour. The burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens.
The Icenhour family will receive friends from 5-8pm on Monday at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.
Ivey was born on August 19, 1945 in Boone, NC, son of the late Willie Icenhour and Annalee Ellison Icenhour. He was the owner-operator of Icenhour Logging for almost 50 years and fully enjoyed spending time in the woods. He was an active member of New Hope Freewill Baptist Church and graciously served as a deacon and caregiver. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his Linda, 3 boys and their families. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mack Icenhour.
He is survived by his wife Linda Greene Icenhour, sons Donnie Icenhour and wife Courtney of Harrisburg, Bobby Icenhour of Mt. Pleasant and Dwayne Icenhour and wife Tonia of Richfield, brother, David Icenhour of Boone, sisters, Ruby Icenhour of Concord, Nancy Parker of Denver, NC and Tessie Miller of Lenoir, seven grandchildren, Holden, Cobrin, Mollie, Sawyer, Michael Dean, Milas and Sadie.
