Ira Howard Mauldin

Ira Howard Mauldin, 87, of Concord passed away Monday, October 23, 2023.

Services for Mr. Mauldin will be held on Sunday, October 29 beginning at 2:00pm at Carolina Memorial Park, 601 Mt. Olivet Rd., Concord, NC, with military graveside rites. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.

Ira was born to Frank and Alice Auten Mauldin on March 30, 1936 in Cabarrus County.  He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years and later continued his career as a truck driver.  He was married to Jo Carolyn Edsell Mauldin for 65 years.  She preceded him in death in August 2018.  A daughter, Julie also preceded him in death.  Ira loved fishing, especially at Oak Island, and traveling to new and different places.  He cherished every minute of his time spent with family.

Mr. Mauldin is survived by his daughter, Dabra Huneycutt and husband, John; son, Timothy Mauldin and wife, Janice; grandchildren, Torry Huneycutt, Chelsea Filipowski and husband, Justin; Zachary Mauldin and wife, Terri; and great grandchildren, Maddox, Mason, Kennedy, Erin and Logan.
