Howard Furr

Mr. Howard Ernest Furr, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Universal Health Care of Concord. Graveside service will be 11:30am Saturday at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis with Military Graveside Rites provided by the Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard. The Furr family will receive friends from 10-11am Saturday at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Furr was born November 19, 1924 in Rowan County, son of the late Howard E. Furr, Sr. and Mary Alice Troutman Furr. He was a graduate of Fruitland Bible Institute and was a Baptist Minister. He was a WWII US Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife Frances Rice Furr. He is survived by his daughter, Trudy Furr Cauble of Mt. Pleasant, grand daughter, Leslie Michelle Scaldara and great grand daughter, Brittany Elizabeth Burleson.
