Homer Lee Allman

Homer Lee Allman, 88, of Concord, passed away, Sunday, March 31, at Atrium-Cabarrus. 

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Friday, April 5, 2024 at Cold Springs Global Methodist Church; officiated by Rev. Cliff Wall. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The Allman family will receive friends from 4-6pm Thursday at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. 

Homer was born July 9, 1935 in Cabarrus County, son of the late John Allman and Mary Huff Allman. He was a lifelong member of Cold Springs Methodist Church, serving many years as the church treasurer and for many years he and Carolyn had served as leaders for the MYF. Homer was retired sales representative for Wyandotte Industries, Inc. Homer was an avid sports fan, pulling for the Atlanta Braves, Carolina Panthers, Duke Blue Devils and the Mount Pleasant High School Teams. He enjoyed going out to eat with friends, trips to Maggie Valley and many other destinations. 

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Walter Allman, daughter, Linda Shope (Jerry); son, Franklin Allman; grandchildren, Joshua and Jacob Shope and Hannah Herrera, Christopher and Michael Allman; great grandchildren, Brantley and Sophie Allman, James and Joseph Shope.
