Mrs. Helen Barrier Studdert, 83, of Barrier Store Rd., Mt. Pleasant died Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at her residence.
Funeral service will be 11:00am Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church officiated by Rev. Dr. Mark Ericson, burial will follow in Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The Studdert family will receive friends from 4-6pm Wednesday at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.
Mrs. Studdert was born March 21, 1927 in Cabarrus County daughter of the late Cleveland R. Barrier and Annie Lipe Barrier. She was a very active member of St. John's Lutheran Chruch. She was a Mount Pleasant High School graduate and attended Queen's Business College, She was retired from Concord National Bank and a former district manager for World Book International, member of the Cattlemen's Association, and a member of the Cabarrus County Democrat Party. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Studdart, son Frankie Cook, brother, C. Lipe Barrier, sisters, Vivian Ludwig, Evelyn Penninger Holder, and Edith McGlamery
She is survived by a son Johnny Cook of Mt. Pleasant, and a daughter Lena "Libby" Murdock of Moncks Corner, SC, grandchildren, James Cook, Brian Benton, Mark Benton, and Jason Benton, thirteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
