Harmon Gilmore

Mr. Harmon Lee Gilmore, 70 of Wood St., Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, October 11, 2010 at his residence. Memorial service will be 5:00pm Thursday at Gordon Funeral Home officiated by Rev. William Nix. The Gilmore family will receive friends from 4-5pm prior to the service. Mr. Gilmore was born January 18, 1940 in Stanly County son of the late Lattie Lee Gilmore and Alma Curlee Gilmore Phillips. He was a member of Glorietta Baptist Church. He worked for Concrete Supply Company for over 30 years. He loved doing his yard work, fishing, animals, especially his dog "Lucky", but most of all he loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Brenda Eagle Gilmore, daughters, Sharon Barnhardt and husband David of Concord, Amy Mayes and husband Terry, Tammy Williams and husband Mike both of Mt. Pleasant, brothers, Billy Gilmore and wife Sandy of Rockwell, Rodney Gilmore of Mt. Pleasant, sister, Glenda Burris and husband Donald, Angie Gilmore both of Concord, stepfather, Don Phillips of Mt. Pleasant, nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Memorial may be directed to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5001 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28083
