Gerald Lee Stallings

Gerald Lee Stallings, 74, of Mt. Pleasant died February 5th at his daughter’s home.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 8th at Miami Baptist Church at 3:00pm, officiated by Rev. Robert Howard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church cemetery.

Gerald was born July 16th, 1943 in Cabarrus county to the late William Billey Stallings, Jr. and Martha Cleo Petrea Williams. During his life he worked for many years as a custodian in Cabarrus county schools primarily at Wolf Meadow Elementary. He was also a long time member of Miami Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Linda Kay Wagoner Stallings, son Robert Stallings and wife Betty of Salisbury; daughter Annette Barnhardt and husband Michael of Mt. Pleasant; sisters Barbara Lambert and husband Jerry of Mt. Pleasant, Faye Kearns and husband Charlie of Wadeville; grandchildren Vanna Calloway and husband Blaine, Matthew, Joseph and Brittany Stallings, Jennifer Wert; great grandchildren Kennedi Grace Calloway, Annika and Jubilee Stallings, Jayana Marcellis, Alex and Brantley Wert; and his loving dog Scooter.
