Gatha Love Allmond

Gatha Love Allmond, 95, of Concord, passed away, surrounded by her family, Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at her residence.

Funeral service will be 11:00am Monday, Feb. 7th at Gordon Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Ray Sipe, burial will follow at Mt. Gilead Lutheran Church Cemetery.

The Allmond family will receive friends from 3-5pm Sunday afternoon at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.

Mrs. Allmond was born January 9, 1927 in Cabarrus County daughter of the late Carl A. Love and Geneva Starnes Love. She was a member of Mt. Gilead Lutheran Church and retired from Cannon Mills. She enjoyed spending time with her family, baking, gardening, flowers and plants. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Allmond in January, her daughter Betty Allmond Hudson, a brother Carl Love, sisters, Ola Mae Gainey and Irene Paige.

She is survived by sons, Fred Allmond Jr. (Karen) and Ronald Allmond; grandchildren, Susan (Michael), Ashley, Steven (Nicole), Crystal and Nathan; great grandchildren, Hannah, Alexandria, Emily, Joshua, Jerime and Dylan and great great grandchildren, Gracie-Anne and Maci-Lynn; sisters, Iris Sossamon, Vivian Snyder, Geraldine Crisco.
