Foy Wren Maxwell, 52 of Walker Rd., Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, December 26, 2011 at his residence.
Funeral service will be 11:00am Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Cold Springs United Methodist Church, officiated by Dr. Neil Haynes and Rev. Mary Hatley, burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The Maxwell family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday at Cold Springs United Methodist Church.
Foy was born June 24, 1959 in Cabarrus County son of Luther Maxwell and the late Mavis Sanders Maxwell. Foy was a life long member of Cold Springs United Methodist Church where he served as the Sound Engineer. Foy graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School 1977 were he played the drums in the band. He was an avid NASCAR and Football Fan. Foy lived a long and happy life after having a diving accident in 1975 where he sub stained a broken neck.
Foy is survived by his wife Brenda Gray Maxwell, father and step mother, Luther and Faye Maxwell of Mt. Pleasant, brother, A.L. Maxwell, Jr. of Concord, sisters, Sherry Rinehardt and husband Tim of Mt. Pleasant and Katelyn Maxwell of Mt. Pleasant, step sister, Cynthia Isenhour and husband Daniel, God Daughters Victoria "Tori" Layton and Sara Grace "Gracie" Cook.
Special people in Foy life are "Mama" Margaret Talley, Ryan and Cindy Layton and Donna and Edward Cook.
