Elsie Smith Gandy

Elsie Smith Gandy, 87 of Concord, passed away, Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Morningside Assisted Living.

Graveside service will be 3:30pm Sunday, November 25 at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens, officiated by Rev. Allen Montgomery and Rev. Perry Lemmonds.

The Gandy family will receive friends from 2-3pm at Gordon Funeral Home, 8559 Cook St., Mt. Pleasant, NC 28124, (704-436-9915), prior to the service.

Mrs. Gandy was born November 8, 1931 in Stanly County, daughter of the late Fletcher and Lilly Ann Burris Smith. She was a member New Grace Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by brothers, Sebron Smith and Clyde Smith sisters; Fay Gladys Smith and Edna Barr.

She is survived by her husband Ray Gandy; sons, Mike Gandy and wife Susie, Richard “Rick” Gandy and wife Gail and David Gandy and wife Aprel; sisters, Edith Ross and Louvenie Stegall; grandchildren, Savana, Elyse, Bonnie and Snoa; great grandchildren, Joanna and Winnie.
