Edna Bost

Mrs. Edna Mae Barrier Bost, 92 of Kluttz Rd., Rockwell, died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Transitional Health Care. Funeral service will be 3:00pm Saturday at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church officiated by Rev. Kay Overcash burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Bost family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday evening at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Bost was born November 11, 1918 in Cabarrus County daughter of the late George W. Barrier and Cora Troutman Barrier. She was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church where she was very active. She was a member of the WELCA and the Rimer Rompers and enjoyed entertaining her family and friends, cooking, sewing and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin L. Bost, Sr. who died Feb 22, 1973, sisters and brothers, Effie Moss, Ruby McGraw, Mildred Smith, Minnie Belle Cline, Naomi Belk, Mary Frances Wise, Margaret Cartrette, Martin Barrier and Joe Barrier, Sr. She is survived by two sons Dennis Bost and wife Debbie and Marvin L. Bost, Jr. and wife Barbara, two daughters, Carol Barnhardt and Alice Faggart, brother, John Barrier, sister, Nell Moose, nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
