Edna Elizabeth Barringer

Mrs. Edna Hill Barringer, 89 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away, Monday, March 16 at Pruitt Health Town Square in Harrisburg. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Wednesday, March 18, at Glorieta Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Robert Leonard, Rev. Bill Nix and Rev. James Collier, entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Wednesday, prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Barringer was born April 22, 1925 in Cabarrus County daughter of the late William H. Hill and Nannie Green Hill. She was a member of Glorieta Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, crafts, making things for and with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, cooking, canning and making chocolate pies for her boys. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard M. Barringer, and a daughter Linda Sue Barringer a great grandson, William Blake, brother Will Hill and a sister Eula Barringer. She is survived by two sons, Wayne Barringer and wife Sue, Richard Barringer and wife Pamela of Mt. Pleasant, daughter, Dianne Pennell of Kannapolis, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
