Edith Thaggard Hale, formerly of Charlotte NC died on July 25, 2015
at Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, NC.
She was born in Dublin GA, daughter of Frank Grady and Annie Whitley Brown Thaggard.
Edith lived a full life, living in Japan in the early 1950‘s and visiting the entire Eastern part of the United States. She settled in Charlotte NC and retired from JP Stevens where she was a tape librarian for 23 years. She then worked for the American Red Cross as a pheresis recruiter for 7 years before retiring.
Edith lived in Mt. Pleasant NC after leaving Charlotte NC and began to volunteer her time at the Christian Cooperative Ministries in Concord NC. She was also a faithful member in the Ladies Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church for many years.
Edith is survived by a son Stephen L. Hale, one daughter Joni H. Deditch, one son-in-law John Juba, 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on July 30, 2015 at the First Baptist Church, 200 Branchview Dr. SE, Concord NC. Family will receive friends at 10am and the service will begin at 11am. The Reverend Tom Anderson will be officiating her service with a few of her closest friends and family sharing precious memories.
