Donald Phillips

Mr. Donald C. Phillips, 83 of Salisbury, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, passed away, Monday, June 23, 2014 at Genesis-Salisbury Center. The Phillips family will receive friends from 5-6:30pm Thursday evening at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant, a private graveside service will be held at a later date. Mr. Phillips was born August 29, 1930 in Cross Plains, TX, son of the late Floyd C. Phillips and Lilliam Whitmire Phillips. He was a retired nurse from Rowan Regional Hospital working in ICU and the Care Unit. He also served in the US Navy. He was preceded in death by his wives Shirley, Alma Curlee Phillips and a son Harmon Gilmore. He is survived by daughters, Shelia Bender and husband Gary of Houston, TX, Glenda Burris and husband Donald "Duck", Angela Gaye Gilmore, daughter in law Brenda Gilmore, sons Billy Gilmore and wife Sandy and Rodney Gilmore, eighteen grandchildren and numerous great grand children.
