Diann Hartsell Hiatt

Diann Hartsell Hiatt, 78, of Concord passed away, Saturday March 5, 2022 at Atrium Health-Cabarrus.

Funeral services will be held 3pm, Tuesday March 8 at Bethel (Bear Creek) Reformed Church officiated by Rev. Patrick McCabe. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Hiatt family will receive friends from 1-3 prior to the service at the church.

Diann was born March 24, 1943 in Stanly County to the late Sidney John and Ruby Barringer Hartsell. She was a lifelong member of Bethel Bear Creek, where she was former President of the Women’s Fellowship, served as chairman of the church's annual missionary sale and was chairperson of the church's bereavement committee. She was also involved in her community, being active as a leader in the county’s 4-H program and as a cook for more than 20 years at Camp Spencer. She worked for over 30 years in Cabarrus County Schools food service. She also loved arranging flowers and decorating for events, serving others within her church, and baking for her family and friends. She also owned her own cleaning business and enjoyed serving her clients as part of her ministry to others.

Mrs Hiatt was a faithful wife for over 57 years, a loving mother, and proud Nana.

Mrs. Hiatt is survived by her husband Charles; daughters, Denise Cooper (Gary) and Beverly Bollenbecker (Eric); grandchildren, Seth , Gary, Kayla and Alana; brothers Johnny Hartsell (Polly) and Anthony Hartsell.
