Delores Lee Hatley

Delores Lee Thompson Hatley, 73 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away, Thursday, March 23 at the Tucker Hospice House. A celebration of life service will begin at 3:30pm Sunday at First Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant, officiated by Rev. Josh White and Rev. Jeff Smith, burial will follow at Herrin's Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The Hatley family will receive friends beginning at 2:00pm prior the service at the church. Delores was born February 18, 1944 in Stanly County, daughter of the late Fitzhugh Thompson and Bertie Gurley Thompson. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant. She, along with her husband ran a flag car service. She enjoyed flowers, cleaning her house and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Tex Hatley; son Joe Hatley (Sandy); daughter, Lisa Roe (Jeff); sister, Shelby Shoe (George); sister in law, Kathy Thompson; grandchildren, Brandy Torrence (Tripp), Ronnie Morton and fiancé Samantha, Cody Hatley and fiancé Brittnay Guidera, Josh Hatley, Josh and Lauren Roe; and her dog "Pepper".
