Darrell Lynn Barrier

Darrell Lynn Barrier, 64, of Concord passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019 peacefully at his home with his family by his side.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30pm Sunday December 8, at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church with the Rev. Rafe Allison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Barrier family will receive friends from 1:00-3:30pm prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Barrier was born in Bossier Parish, Louisiana on October 24, 1955 to Bobby Ray Barrier and Joann Yost Barrier. He was a graduate of South Rowan High School and owner of Cresent Construction until retirement. Darrell was a baptized and lifelong member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church. Spending time in his shop restoring antique tractors and fishing were some of his favorite activities. He enjoyed competing at state and national level Tractor Pulling competitions. Spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren was the thing he loved the most.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Billie Measmer Barrier; daughter Amber Barrier Craig and husband Shane; son Jason Barrier and wife Chandra; grandchildren Zachary, Kayley, Madison and Isabella; sister Rhonda Barrier Drye and husband Rusty.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, 4500 Rimer Rd. Concord NC 28025.
