Brice Edward Bost

Mr. Brice Edward Bost, 86 of Concord, passed away, Saturday, December 17, 2016 at his residence. A celebration of his life will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, Dec. 20, at St. John's Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. Dr. Mark Ericson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Bost family will receive friends from 12:30-2:30 prior to the service at the church. Mr. Bost was born May 16, 1930 in Cabarrus County son of the late Elmer Roy Bost and Efford Troutman Bost. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where he served as Sunday School Secretary and was active in the Lutheran Men in Mission. For over 30 years Brice also served his church by mowing and improving the church grounds. He was also a member of the St. John's Grange. He was a Korean War veteran and a member of the local DAV and American Legion. From 1987 to 1995 he owned and operated Temco Tractor Supply. Following his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking and made many beautiful pieces of furniture for family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jane Hudson Bost; son, Carl A. Bost; daughter, Carolyn Bost Campbell and husband Lawrence; 4 grandchildren, Chris and Beverly Campbell, Adam and Megan Bost; great grandchildren, Hannah Campbell, Steven and Alivia Linn; brother, Paul Bost; sisters, Faye Barringer, Geneva Gray and Nell Hatley. Memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church, Garden Fund, 100 St. John's Church Road, Concord, NC 28025
